They have their own microsurgery operating theatre equipped with the latest technology and authorised by the Conselleria de Salut i Consum del Govern Balear.The Clínica Oftalmológica Excímer Láser Palma was founded at the end of 1992 on the initiative of a group of ophthalmologists from Mallorca interested in providing a solution to the refractive eye defects (myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism) that affect more than half of all people, forcing them to depend on glasses or contact lenses. They were one of the pioneering centres in Spain and Europe to incorporate the Excimer Laser in the treatment of myopia and other eye defects.Today there are 11 specialists working at the Clinic, contributing all their experience in the treatment of refractive anomalies, with thousands of treatments carried out. En la Clínica Oftalmológica Excímer Láser Palma son especialistas en la operación de cataratas y en el tratamiento con láser y con lentes intraoculares de la miopía, astigmatismo, hipermetropía y presbicia («vista cansada»). Disponen de un quirófano propio de microcirugía ocular dotado de las últimas tecnologías, y autorizado por la Conselleria de Salut i Consum del Govern Balear.La Clínica Oftalmológica Excímer Láser Palma se fundó a finales de 1.992 por iniciativa de un grupo de oftalmólogos de Mallorca interesados en dar solución a los defectos refractivos oculares (miopía, hipermetropía y astigmatismo) que afectan a más de la mitad de las personas, obligándolas a una dependencia de las gafas o las lentes de contacto. Fueron uno de los centros pioneros en España y en Europa en incorporar el Láser Excímer en los tratamientos de la miopía y otros defectos oculares.Hoy son 11 especialistas que colaboran en la Clínica, aportando toda su experiencia en el tratamiento de las anomalías refractivas, con miles de tratamientos realizados.
