This article is meant to support European Youth Cardholders solve errors related to the phone apps listed below:

If you have not been given access to the apps by one of our member organisations you will not be able to create an account and retrieve your digital card.

The Digital European Youth Card won’t load even though I have successfully created my account.

This error, even though it is not very common, is caused because the app is downloading the discounts data in the background. Usually, if you wait for around 5 minutes and then hard close the app and open it again, your digital card should be visible.

 

My country is not on the list. Is there something wrong?

No, here’s why. That country list refers only to the country in which you want to see discounts. If your country is not on the list, it may be due to the fact that the discount portfolio is under review or that we don’t have a member organisation in your country.

In any case, your card is still useful when you visit one of the countries in the European Youth Card network.

I can't access my account

Believe it or not, we get this issue a lot. Please, keep in mind that the system only allows you to use one email address. Therefore, if you are trying to log in with a different email address, the system will not give you access. Make sure you are using the same email address you used when creating your account. 

If you forgot your password, you can reset your password by clicking on the "I forgot my password" button. 

 

I made a typo in my date of birth

Worry not, if you’ve made a mistake while typing your date of birth, please, send us an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. indicating the reason for your email and including the following information:

  • Full name:
  • EYCA number:
  • Email address used to create the account:
  • Correct DoB:

After that, we will manually process your request and make the necessary changes. The changes will be visible on your card within 48 hours (working days).

 

Can I get a plastic copy of my European Youth Card in addition to the digital version?

We at the European Youth Card Association are right now transitioning towards a more sustainable way of operating the card. Therefore, as of the 1st of January 2019, we are only issuing digital cards. The digital card can be used exactly in the same way as the traditional plastic card. 


This is our little contribution to fighting global warming and reducing our plastic footprint. Therefore, we will not be issuing plastic cards any longer. Thanks for your understanding and contribution to reducing EYCA's plastic footprint!

BONUS: The apps work offline and you will be able to show your card even if you don’t have an internet connection at the time!

 

I don’t want to have the digital version of the European Youth Card.

In case you ordered your card through one of our member organisations, you will need to contact them. The card in your country.
