‘Design a Postcard’ Competition Terms and Conditions

I. Competition Rules

Participants

  • Any person who holds a valid European Youth Card and an account on the myEYC app at the time of competition and fulfils the competition tasks as described in the publication is a valid entry.
  • EYCA undertakes to respect the principle of non-discrimination based on sex, gender, religion, political opinions, race or ethnicity.

Participation

  • Any young artist (amateur or professional) can send their artwork that relates to the topic “challenges young people face in Europe”. The artwork can be of any type (digital, photography, painting, collage, sketch, etc), as long as it can be shared with EYCA in a digital format and can be reproduced as a still image.
  • The purpose is to find three pieces of art that will be reproduced on postcards. As such, the dimension of the artwork needs to be 10.3 x 14.5 cm (A6). The postcards are destined to be used in various local activities designed and implemented by young people, EYCA members, and anyone who wants to participate.
  • No words should appear on the design. This is to ensure that it can be understood by everyone around Europe, irrespective of their language. The design should thus be understandable via artistic representation.
  • By submitting an art piece to the competition, participants agree to the terms and conditions of the competition.
  • The duration of the competition is outlined in the competition description. No participation beyond this timeline will be considered.
  • Participation in the competition is free of charge.
  • The participation in the competition cannot give rise to any legal claims or rights to compensation. Any legal action is excluded.

  • The three winning art pieces will be printed on postcards. Each winner will receive 5 postcards with their printed design. In addition, the three winners will receive a voucher for 100 EUR for https://www.etsy.com/.
