European Youth Cards for all Young Participants in the European Solidarity Corps.

The European Voluntary Service (EVS) has been a successful programme for many years, providing young people with the opportunity to volunteer abroad and gain valuable skills and experiences. However, the programme has now transitioned into the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), which aims to provide even more opportunities for young people to make a difference in their communities and beyond.

EVS and Beyond

Over the past 20 years, well over 100,000 young volunteers have received the EVS card and taken part in the programme. These volunteers have made a positive impact on communities and gained valuable skills and experiences that will benefit them in the future.

Moving forward, all European Solidarity Corps participants will receive a free European Youth Card. This card gives young people access to discounts and benefits across Europe, as well as the opportunity to participate in the Volunteering Awards. The European Commission and the European Youth Card Association (EYCA) are working together to ensure that the European Solidarity Corps is a success and that young people have the support they need to make a difference.

The Participation Awards

The European Solidarity Corps Participation Awards are all about showcasing the fantastic work young volunteers like you are doing abroad, through European Solidarity Corps projects.

The Participation Awards have been on a hiatus for a few years, but they are back in 2024. All young people with a European Youth Card will be able to participate and win amazing prizes. The most inspiring stories will be rewarded with Interail passes, pocket money, merch and an iPad Air for one lucky winnner!

These awards aren't just about recognition; they're your chance to exhibit your cool volunteering journey to other young people across Europe. Let's spread the inspiration and get more amazing adventures started!
