Carné Joven Comunidad Madrid teamed up with the Tourism Council to make this event even more epic for the EYC members. It was a win-win situation as their members got some fantastic benefits in return for being part of the action. Let's check out what they scored:
-
50% Off Tickets: European Youth Card users (from all countries) got the chance to grab their seats at the games with a fantastic 50% discount. Talk about a great deal to witness top-notch basketball skills on the court!
-
Exclusive Triple Entry Packs Giveaway: We went all out by holding an exciting draw, where 48 European Youth Card users won triple packs of tickets to the final phase (6 sessions) held at the iconic Wizink Center in Madrid. Those sessions were filled with thrilling basketball action that had everyone on their feet cheering!
-
CJ Promotional Video by Spanish National Team Players: Now, this was a moment to cherish! The talented players from the Spanish national team came together to shoot a special promotional video for Carné Joven. It was showcased on the big screens before every match at the Wizink Center and shared across the social media channels of both the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) and Carné Joven Comunidad de Madrid. Our members felt extra proud seeing these inspiring athletes support the youth card program. Check out the Instagram video!

Carné Joven Stand at the Wizink Center: For three awesome days during the final phase, Carné Joven set up a vibrant stand at the Wizink Center. Our enthusiastic ambassadors were present to spread the EYC spirit and gave away cool Carné Joven Comunidad de Madrid merchandising to add to the excitement.
But that's not all! Their partnership extended beyond the tournament. We extended a generous offer to the municipalities of Alcalá de Henares and Torrejón de Ardoz, both of which are part of the regional youth card programme. We provided them with 100 tickets to distribute among their members who wanted to attend the earlier phases of the competition held in their cities. For us, it was all about bringing communities together and supporting the love of sports!
Our collaboration with the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup and the Spanish Basketball Federation - FEB was indeed a significant step in promoting women's sports. We're proud to be part of such a landmark event that showcased the power and talent of female athletes on an international stage.
To add to the excitement, the newly-elected Director General for Youth and Sports of the Madrid Community, Laura Castilla, showed her unwavering support for our EYC members and the event itself. She was there on Friday, cheering on our girls and fully embracing her first event as the leader of Carné Joven Comunidad de Madrid. With her passion and dedication, we know there are many more great moments ahead for the EYC programme in the Madrid Region!
As we wrap up this fantastic journey of basketball brilliance, we must mention that Spain made it all the way to the final showdown! In a nail-biting game, our team gave it their all but fell just a few points short against the formidable team from the United States. Even though the win slipped through our fingers, our girls made us proud, and their hard work and sportsmanship will continue to inspire us.
So, there you have it, folks! The U19 Women's Basketball World Cup in Madrid was a resounding success, and Carné Joven played a key role in making it even more remarkable. Stay tuned for more exciting collaborations and events, and keep the sports spirit alive! Because at Carné Joven, it's not just about a card; it's about fostering a community of young, passionate individuals who strive for excellence in all they do!
