Are you going abroad as a European Solidarity Corps participant?
Thanks for being part of the ESC programme! You'll have a wonderful time, and we're happy to help you make the most of it – through the European Volunteer Card!
Here’s the information you need to know:
What is the European Volunteer Card?
It’s the European Youth Card, that is made available for free to all ESC participants.
How do I get the card?
It’ll be sent to you by the European Commission. Please check with your host organisation that they have registered you on the Beneficiary Module platform - as this is how the European Commission will get the information to contact you.
What benefits does the card give you?
It allows you to access the 30.000+ discounts across Europe. Check out them out.
How long is the card valid for?
18 months (from the moment you receive it). It can be used both at home and when travelling.
I have not received the card, what should I do?
Please check that your host organization has correctly registered you on the beneficiary module platform. A common issue is that host organisations do not complete this registration (i.e. missing fields, saved as a draft, etc). After this, please contact your ESC National Agency as they will be able to make sure the data is correct.
Is the card digital or plastic?
