Dvořák Museum of Prehistory, New Parish School (Brandlova 35) The Renaissance New Parish School stands on the grounds of the Church of St. Bartholomew. It was built in 1612 by rebuilding the Gothic cemetery chapel of St. James the Greater, built in 1401 at the expense of the German preacher Nicholas Keil. In 1793 it was classically modified and enlarged by the addition of the eastern wing. It served its purpose until 1860, when a new building was completed for the town school in the Kutná Hora suburb. This house became the seat of the museum in 1913. The personality of the founder of the museum's archaeological collection, MUDr. František Dvořák, who was executed by the Nazis in 1943, is commemorated by a bronze plaque by Vladimír Jan Hnízda, which is mounted on the western facade of the building. The Dvořák Museum of Prehistory is used to install long-term exhibitions with archaeological themes.
