1. USING THE myEYC APP

Where are the previous EYC apps?

The current myEYC Mobile App will cease to exist, to pave the way for a new and improved version. This transition is necessary to enhance security and data protection for our users. Due to these upgrades, existing users will need to download the new app and create a new account using their current card number.

This process ensures that all user data complies with the latest security standards, providing a safer and more secure user experience. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this transition period.

I had an account on a previous EYC app, what do I do now?

To ensure that the transition is kept to the highest standard, all data stored in the previous versions of the app will be destroyed.

This means that all cardholders that had created an account in previous versions of the app will need to create a new account using their European Youth Card number. We know that this is not ideal, but we promise that creating a new account won’t take more than 5 minutes!

How can I choose and change the language?

You have the option to choose your language when registering on the myEYC app. You can also change the language at any time by heading to the ‘Profile’ menu, then ‘Settings’ on the app.

We are gradually adding languages. If your preferred language is not yet available, please select another one in the meantime.

Can I add multiple European Youth Card to the same account?

Yes, if you have several European Youth Card, there is no need to create different accounts for each. Create one account on the myEYC app with one of your card number. Then, click on the ‘+’ next the card to add your other European Youth Cards.

• I’m looking for a specific discount, how can I find it?

All discounts can be viewed via the myEYC app or via our website.

First, filter the discount according to the country you are in (or will be visiting). Then search for discounts with the other filters or by typing in the name of the discount.

Go to Profile -> click on the ✏️ next to your DoB and type your correct your date of birth.

Note: Keep in mind that you can only change your DoB once, make sure you do it correctly! We limit the number of times you can change this field to prevent cardholders from sharing the card details with other people.

I made a typo in my name. How can I change it?

Don’t worry! All you have to do is:

Go to Profile -> click on the ✏️ next to your name and type your correct your name + surname.

Where can I see all my discount vouchers?

I’m under 18, why can’t I access the forum?

Cardholders under the age of 18 are not allowed to access the forum section in the new myEYC mobile app because it is an unmonitored space. Users can freely share their thoughts and opinions, and this is not moderated.

This restriction is in place to protect younger users from potential exposure to inappropriate behaviours, language, or content that may not be suitable for minors.

We believe that ensuring a safe online environment is crucial, as children and teenagers may be more vulnerable to negative influences, cyberbullying, and privacy risks. By limiting access to adults only, the app aims to create a safer community and comply with best practices for protecting minors online.

I’m under 16, why must I get my parents’/guardian’s consent?

Parental consent is necessary for the new myEYC mobile app when processing personal data of young cardholders under 16 years of age.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), children’s personal data requires special protection due to their lower awareness of risks involved in data processing. Article 8 of the GDPR mandates that if a child is under 16, consent for processing their data must be given or authorised by a parent or guardian.

• Is the app available on devices that use unsupported software?

The myEYC Mobile App is available for both Android and iOS devices.
However, it is important to ensure that your device is running a supported version of the operating system. The app may not function properly on devices with outdated or unsupported software versions.

European Solidarity Corps: I was communicated an invalid URL; which app should I use?

We apologise for the error, the distribution of the EYC for ESC participants is done through the European Commission’s system, making changes in the system takes slightly longer.

This is why you may have received the link to the old app. In any case, don’t worry, you can download our new app here for iOS and here for Android, and create an account with the EYC Number that you received from the European Commission.
