Semlerova rezidence

Semler Residence

The Semler Residence in Pilsen is the third place in the Czech Republic, after the Müller and Winternitz villas in Prague, where Adolf Loos' unique architectural concept, the so-called Raumplan, can be seen. The historic apartment interior of the family of Oskar and Jana Semler, which was built into the original apartment building in 1933-1934, is one of the leading monuments of modern architecture in Central Europe. It was based on a concept by Adolf Loos from 1932, which was developed into a project by Loos's pupil and former collaborator Heinrich Kulka.
