Sieste Electroniques

The Les Siestes Électroniques festival was born in Toulouse in 2002 with the aim of bringing audiences and music together in the most generous and essential way possible. It is about creating unexpected encounters between people of all backgrounds and a diverse, curious artistic programme. The festival also seeks to question the conditions in which audiences listen to music, by playing with timing, artistic proposals, and settings. Les Siestes is one of the first festivals in France to have prioritised a free, horizontal, daytime, and open-air listening experience—an approach that has helped transform the way electronic music (and more broadly, music festivals) are experienced. People come to dance, meet, share, learn, and discover… to hear music at its most adventurous. The organisation runs free, open, and accessible festivals for everyone, in Toulouse and elsewhere, as well as other events throughout the year.
