Go to the partner's websiteThe Messiaen Festival in the Pays de la Meije is a major contemporary music event in France, created in tribute to the composer Olivier Messiaen. It has been directed since 2019 by Bruno Messina, director of the EPCC Arts in Isère Dauphiné Alpes. Located on the border of Isère in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and Hautes-Alpes in the Sud Provence Alpes Côte D'Azur region, the Messiaen Festival explores sensitive natural areas where the diverse landscape elements nourished Olivier Messiaen's musical inspiration. Every summer, for around ten days at the end of July, a bold program combining major 20th-century works and new creations is presented in around fifteen concerts and as many educational and cultural events. From July 19th to 27th, the Messiaen Festival in the Pays de la Meije invites you to La Grave, in the Hautes-Alpes and Isère regions, with a program honoring two composers whose centenary we are celebrating this year: Pierre Boulez and Luciano Berio. Barbara Hannigan, Bertrand Chamayou, the Diotima Quartet, Florent Boffard, Erik Orsenna with the Paris Mozart Orchestra and pianist Orlando Bass, Jean-François Heisser, and many other artists will be present for 10 days of music amidst the magnificent landscapes that so inspired Olivier Messiaen. The full program is available on our website: www.festivalmessiaen.com Promo code : CJEFM25
