Meet the winners - European Solidarity Corps Participation Awards 2026
The European Solidarity Corps Participation Awards 2026 have come to an end, and we're thrilled to announce the winners! Inspiring videos were submitted by young volunteers across Europe and neighbouring countries, sharing their unique experiences and how volunteering has impacted their lives.
It's been an incredible journey seeing the diversity of stories and the passion these young people have for making a difference.
This year's entries took us everywhere, flood recovery in Spain, a youth office in Galicia, a podcast project in Romania, a fresh start in Italy. We learned about communities rebuilding after disaster, about leaps of faith into completely unfamiliar countries, about new languages and friendships picked up along the way, and about volunteers discovering passions they never expected to find.
What ties all these stories together is something one of the winners said best: "This project changed my perspective on community. I learned how important it really was, in a society that had to rebuild itself after hardship."
And the winners are...
· Amy Nagendran - Spain
· Majed Darweesh - Romania
· Angelo Carelli - Italy
· Boris Kofman - Latvia
· Sayenabou Aurora Sylla - Spain
· Janette Dessì - Bulgaria
· Tereza Lodrova - Czechia
· Muhammet Emre Koç - Portugal
· Cristina Aterido - Belgium
· Lika Jgerenaia - Italy
These are just a few of the inspiring young people who took part in the competition. Each one has left a lasting impact on their community and continues to spread the message of solidarity.
What's next for our winners?
