Theater Strahl

Theater Strahl Founded in 1987 as an independent theatre group, Theater Strahl has established itself over the past 38 years as one of the leading venues for contemporary theatre for young audiences aged 12 and up. The theatre cooperates and performs nationwide and internationally and is regularly invited to theatre festivals. Participatory theatre work is a central part of its identity: young audiences are actively involved in the creative process and are given a stage through workshops, youth theatre clubs and an open stage format. Theater Strahl is located in a former double-decker gymnasium on the grounds of the youth hostel at Ostkreuz – a spacious and modern theatre building with two stages. Youth Card holders receive a 25% discount on ticket prices.
