At the Clínica Oftalmológica Excímer Láser Palma they specialise in cataract surgery and laser and intraocular lens treatment for myopia, astigmatism, hyperopia and presbyopia ("tired eyes"). They have their own microsurgery operating theatre equipped with the latest technology and authorised by the Conselleria de Salut i Consum del Govern Balear.The Clínica Oftalmológica Excímer Láser Palma was founded at the end of 1992 on the initiative of a group of ophthalmologists from Mallorca interested in providing a solution to the refractive eye defects (myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism) that affect more than half of all people, forcing them to depend on glasses or contact lenses. They were one of the pioneering centres in Spain and Europe to incorporate the Excimer Laser in the treatment of myopia and other eye defects.Today there are 11 specialists working at the Clinic, contributing all their experience in the treatment of refractive anomalies, with thousands of treatments carried out.
