Adamson-Ericu muuseum

The Adamson-Eric Museum, located in Tallinn’s Old Town, offers an overview of the work of one of Estonia’s most versatile artists, Adamson-Eric (1902–1968), through its permanent exhibition. In addition, the museum hosts two to three temporary exhibitions each year on various themes. The museum’s collection is based on a generous donation by the artist’s wife, Mari Adamson (1908–2000), consisting of approximately 1,000 works across different genres. Most of these are displayed in the permanent exhibition, which opened in 1983. Through various thematic and solo exhibitions, the museum has consistently introduced Estonian exile art, as well as the work of female artists and Adamson-Eric’s contemporaries. The focus has been on classical modernism, and international cooperation has been developed with museums in Latvia, Finland, and Japan.
