Call for tenders: website design for the European Youth Card Association

The European Youth Card Association (EYCA) is seeking a talented web designer, or team, to redesign and modernise the official website. We are looking for professionals capable of delivering a fresh, youth-oriented layout in line with EYCA’s brand identity; ensuring that the new site is engaging, mobile-friendly, and visually appealing.

Application deadline: Friday, 30 September 2024.
Project timeline: ∼2 months after the designer is selected.
Budget: The total foreseen budget for the project is €3,000 including VAT; 

Project overview

This project requires a comprehensive redesign of the current European Youth Card/Association website to better serve our diverse audience, including young people aged 16-30 across Europe, discount providers, and various stakeholders.

The new design should embody a vibrant, youthful aesthetic while maintaining high functionality, ease of navigation, and a strong emphasis on mobile-friendliness. The selected designer will work closely with our team and the web developer to ensure the site meets all specified requirements.

Key features and focus areas:

  • Structure and website architecture:
    Improve the overall structure to better reflect our dual presence as an association and the European Youth Card, ensuring clear differentiation where needed.
  • Homepage & navigation overhaul:
    Reorganise the menu to enhance the user journey for various audiences, including young users/cardholders, discount providers, and stakeholders. Ensure prominent visibility of key offerings such as discounts, EYCA members, and ongoing projects.
  • Mobile-first design:
    Prioritise mobile-friendliness, ensuring seamless functionality across all devices while maintaining a youthful and dynamic feel.

Requirements:

1. Design & branding:

  • Create custom designs with a personal touch that reflect a fresh, youthful brand identity.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing visually appealing and user-friendly websites, particularly for youth-focused organisations.
  • Ability to incorporate the existing branding identity while introducing fresh ideas and combinations.

2. Collaboration:

  • Availability to meet with our team for an initial briefing and maintain ongoing communication throughout the project to fully understand the vision of this project.
  • Willingness to work closely with the web developer to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.

The designer has the flexibility to work in their preferred design programme, with prior coordination with the developer to ensure smooth collaboration.

This role is fully remote and does not require any travel.
